Ana María Alpizar Hernández joined the firm in 2018. She specializes in Banking and Finance and Energy and Infrastructure Projects.
    Ana María Alpízar has more than 5 years of experience advising financial entities and project developers in several renewable energy, oil and gas projects, including LNG facilities. She has also participated in bidding processes related to the energy sector before Mexican Authorities.

    From 2016 to 2018 she worked as a Foreign Associate at Shearman & Sterling, in New York, NY.
    • Advised ENGIE and its affiliates, including Heolios Intermediate 1, Engie Eólica Tres Mesas 3, Eólica Tres Mesas 4, Recursos Solares PV de México IV, BNB Villa Ahumada Solar, Buenos Días Energía and Engie Abril PV, in connection with its joint venture with Tokyo Gas related to the construction and development of a portfolio of projects (four solar parks and two wind farms in Mexico), which closed concurrently with the relevant project financing.
    • Advised ENGIE and its affiliates, in connection with a limited recourse project financing in respect of four solar parks and two wind farms in Mexico with a combined generation capacity of 721 MW.
    • Represented ENGIE in relation to the negotiation and execution of a share subscription agreement with Tokyo Gas in relation with an investment by Tokyo Gas in 80% of a renewable power portfolio developed by ENGIE.
    • Represented BBVA Bancomer, Caixabank, Natixis, MUFG, Bancomext, IDB Invest and European Investment Bank as lenders in relation to the financing of the Villanueva I, Villanueva III and Don José Solar projects, having an aggregate capacity of approximately 1 GW. The project companies are subsidiaries of Enel Green Power and CDPQ.
    • Represented Pemcorp in its capacity as borrower in a credit agreement with Natixis, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and The Korea Development Bank in an approximate aggregate principal amount of USD$16,505 million for the development of the first power project implemented as isolated supply.
    • Represented Cubico Susteinable Investments y Alten RE Developments America as sponsor in the financing and development of two photovoltaic solar plants with a combined installed capacity of 350 MWp in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
    • Represented One LNG in the negotiation of a joint venture with Ophir Holdings & Ventures for development of the Fortuna Project Block R offshore of Equatorial Guinea through an LNG floating facility.
    • Represented Talos Energy, as winner bidder in the bidding process called by the Mexican National Hydrocarbons Commission, for the award of production sharing contracts for the exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons in shallow waters.
