Saúl Ugalde Oscós joined the firm in 2017. He specializes in Banking and Finance, Capital Markets, Mergers and Acquisitions and Restructurings and Insolvency.
Saúl Ugalde has experience in capital markets representing issuers in public and restricted public offerings of debt and quasi-equity in the domestic market, mainly with certificados de capital de desarrollo (CKDs), FIBRAS and CERPIs. He has also participated in mergers and acquisitions transactions providing advice to creditors and in insolvency proceedings as part of the conciliator's team.
Represented Discovery Americas in the extension of the maximum issue amount of a private equity vehicle, through an offer of certificados bursátiles fiduciarios de proyectos de inversión (CERPIs) for up to USD$250 million, and has provided advice in subsequent issues.
Represented Volkswagen Leasing in domestic debt offerings under its regulated note-issuing program.
Participated with the conciliator in the restructuring and insolvency proceeding of Empresas ICA and four of its subsidiaries, which was completed on March 2018.
Represented an international leading renewable energy infrastructure company in an ICC arbitration related to the construction of a wind farm in Mexico of USD$80 million.
Represented International Finance Corporation as creditor in Abengoa’s insolvency proceeding.
