Marcelle Cohen has experience advising buyers, private equity funds and sellers in the acquisition process of companies in various sectors in both domestic and international transactions. She has also participated in financing transactions, advising local and foreign financial institutions and private and public companies.
Represented the investor consortium formed by Continental Grain Company, Organización Cultiba, Equity Group Investments, and Castle Harlan, in the acquisition of a majority stake in Baja-Aqua Farms and its subsidiaries, a leading company in the Bluefin tuna aquaculture business in Baja California, Mexico.
Represented Mexichem Compuestos, a subsidiary of Orbia Advance Corporation, in the acquisition of Neotrimental, a Mexico-based food additives company, subsidiary of Grupo IMSA.
Represented Grupo Solufi, a company dedicated to the pure leasing of motor vehicles for SMEs and individuals, in the structuring of an investment made by Bocel, a private equity fund, through the issuance of shares representing the capital stock of Grupo Solufi and in a convertible loan.
Represented Origin Patrimonial, in the acquisition of the totality of the beneficiary rights of the Irrevocable Administration Trust identified with number 744641 (the "Founders' Trust"), founder trust of Fibra Inn (BMV: FINN13), as well as in the substitution of the members of the Technical Committee, including its chairman, and of the Investment Committee, as appointed by the Founders' Trust of Fibra Inn.
