Alejandra Echeverría González joined the firm in 2013. She specializes in Banking and Finance and Energy and Infrastructure Projects.
    Alejandra Echeverría joined the firm in 2013. She has more than 12 years of experience as transactional lawyer and her professional practice is mainly focused on the development, financing and acquisition of energy and infrastructure projects. 

    Alejandra represents contractors, developers, investors, financial institutions, development banks and multilateral agencies in the development and financing of projects under all kinds of legal, contracting and financing arrangements in various industries including transportation (highways and toll roads, ports, railways and airports), power (conventional and renewable), transportation and storage of hydrocarbons. She also provides advice and assistance to clients in project-specific regulatory matters.

    She worked as Foreign Associate in the New York offices of Allen & Overy LLP
    • Advised Japan International Cooperation Agency on a USD$100 million loan to Energética Nova to fund five solar power plants in Mexico.
    • Represented Banco Santander, BBVA Bancomer, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation; Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Banking; MUFG Bank México, Banco Nacional de Obras y Servicios Públicos, Nacional Financiera, Banco Nacional de Comercio Exterior, Banco Inbursa, Grupo Financiero Inbursa, CaixaBank, GE Capital EFS Financing and HSBC México, in connection with the refinancing of a USD$364.98 million to TAG Norte Holding and TAG Pipelines Norte, for the development, construction and operation of a gas pipeline of 42" diameter and an approximate length of 454 km from Ramones, Nuevo León to a site located approximately 60 km from San Luis Potosí, San Luis Potosí known as “Ramones Norte”.
    • Represented Ainda, Energía & Infraestructura in an equity investment in Concesionaria Monterrey Nuevo Laredo, a subsidiary of Promotor y Operadora de Infraestructura, that is the concessionaire of La Gloria San Fernando section of the Monterrey – Nuevo Laredo highway.
    • Represented Banco Ve por Más in connection with a loan granted in favor of Bosnor for an amount of USD$8 million and (ii) the creation of a Mexican-law governed Management and Payment Source Trust.
    • Represented Tuli Energia in connection with the financing of USD$102.127 million for the construction and operation of a 150 MWac photovoltaic Project located in Zacatecas, Mexico.
    • Represented Helios Generación in connection with the financing of USD$103.354 million for the construction and operation of a 150 MWac photovoltaic Project located in Zacatecas, Mexico.
    • Represented Recurrent Energy Mexico Development, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar International, in obtaining a bridging loan of up to USD$45 million granted by Natixis, New York Branch, for the development, construction and operation of a photovoltaic power plant, as well as the structuring and negotiation of Credit guarantee.
    • Represented CPPIB Credit Investmens Inc., as the initial lender in connection to a refinancing of USD$2,940 million denominated secured loan to Grupo Gayosso.
    • Represented a special purpose company wholly owned by Blackrock in relation to the negotiation of: the EPC and Project Management Contracts relating to the overhaul and expansion works relating to the carbon transport logistics facilities in the port of Lazaro Cardenas designed to service the Petacalco coal-fired power plant operated by CFE, and the related USD$347 million hybrid bond / bank loan senior financing, VAT financing and security documents relating to such financings.
    • Represented La Bufa Wind and its sponsors in the refinancing of a 130 MW wind facility located in Zacatecas in Mexico.
    • Represented Canadian Solar in the development, financing and sale of the photovoltaic power project Aguascalientes I, which was awarded a PPA in the first long term auction called by CENACE.
    • Represented bank syndicate granting financing to an affiliate of a leading Mexican energy infrastructure company Grupo R, secured by a vessel mortgage and the assignment of collection rights in connection with service contracts for Mexico’s state-owned oil company PEMEX.
