María Isoard has more than 35 years of experience advising several Mexican subsidiaries in all their corporate aspects. As for her experience in acquisitions, she has represented purchasers, sellers (including investment funds), in connection with acquisitions and investments made by several private companies and corporate groups.
María has also participated in financing and financial restructurings, mainly advising financial institutions acting as lenders.
She worked as a Foreign Associate at the New York office of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in 1994.
Represented Engenium Capital in the purchase of 51% of the shares representative of the capital stock of Tip de México and its subsidiaries, a company that provides long and short term trailer leasing services. The transaction also involved a call option for the remaining 49% of the shares. Additionally, a secured credit agreement was entered into by Engenium Capital with several Mexican banks in order to finance such acquisition.
Handles the corporate books and records of Mexican subsidiaries of corporate groups, holding entities and operating entities.
Represented foreign and domestic financial institutions in recent financing and refinancing transactions, in the restructuring process of investment and in the documenting of security packages.
Participated in the response of cross-border activities in the banking and securities areas.
