Roberto Rosas Rangel joined the firm in 2017. He specializes in Banking and Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions and Capital Markets.
    Roberto Rosas has advised national and international clients in their business operations in Mexico. He has participated in public offers of securities and M&A transactions, where he has advised different types of financial entities in the compliance f their regulatory obligations before the Mexican financial authorities, the Mexican Stock Exchange and the Mexican Derivatives Exchange. He also has experience in the acquisition business in Mexico.
    • Represented Mexico Infrastructure Partners – EXI 3 in the establishment of its fourth private equity fund of over MXN$9,600 million, focused on investing in Mexican energy and infrastructure projects, through a public offer of certificados bursátiles fiduciarios de desarrollo (CKDs) that includes a co-investment mechanism through the issuance of optional certificates.
    • Represented Mexico Infrastructure Partners América Latina in the establishment of a private equity fund, through a public offer of certificados bursátiles fiduciarios de proyectos de inversión (CERPIs) for up to MXN$3,000 million of Series A Certificates and up to MXN$7,500 million of optional coinvestment Series B Certificates, which is focused on investing in energy and infrastructure projects in Peru, Mexico, Chile and Colombia.
    • Represented PNC Financial Services Group and PNC Bancorp, as the major shareholders of Blackrock in the acquisition by an SPV of Blackrock of the investment management business of Citibanamex, Impulsora de Fondos.
    • Represented Mexico Infrastructure Partners America Latina, EXI LATAM, in the public offer of certificados bursátiles fiduciarios de proyectos de inversion (CERPIs), for an amount of MXN$3,000 million for its third private equity fund focused on investing in energy and infrastructure projects in Latin America.
    • Represented Ainda, Energía & Infraestructura in the implementation of a strategic alliance that provides for the participation of Impulsora Inverza in the capital and the corporate governance of Ainda, Energía & Infraestructura, as well as a coinvestment mechanism with Ainda’s energy and infrastructure fund (CKDs).
    • Represented HSBC México in the revolving private placement of Certificados Bursátiles Bancarios.
    • Advised PNC Bank in the purchase of a management funds company of Citibanamex.
    • Advised JPMorgan and Bank of America in connection with variation margin issues under the applicable regulatory dispositions of the Mexican Derivatives Exchange.
    • Advised Santander (Spain) in order to conduct the purchase of one of its subsidiaries.
