We represented Hess México Oil and Gas in obtaining one of the first ever value added tax refunds related to seismic operations in Mexico. Our work consisted in validating the favorable balances of value added tax, preparing the writs for the corresponding months, elaborating the working papers with the determination and explanation of the favorable balances, as well as following up the entire process with the tax authorities, which even included issuing specific regulations for this type of refunds in preoperative periods.
